I don’t know about you, but when it’s cold and snowy, I tend to reach for my Sorrels and a big oversized Theory sweater that’s insanely warm. But in Paris, snow and windchill doesn’t deter their style. These snaps from Paris Couture Fashion Week make me want to move to Paris just for the outfit inspiration alone (and the idea that by osmosis I will adopt the impossibly-chic Parisian style).
I love Vogue.com’s feature, “Five Days, Five Looks, One Girl” that profiles what they wear at the peek of chic. I’m always inspired by what the editors of the legendary fashion rag are wearing, and their amazing accessories. The latest installment features Special Events Associate Phoebe de Croisset, whose mix of colors, patterns and textures is the perfect way to liven up your winter wardrobe.
Um, if sweatpants were in style (like to wear in public, when not on the way to the gym), I’d be the happiest person alive. As much as I LOVE fashion, I live to be comfy.
So how jealous was I when I saw Emily Blunt looking beyond chic in her airport-appropriate sweats?
The keys to pulling it off: The look is far from sloppy. Blunt sticks to fitted black sweats paired with a fitted striped sweater and cute moccasin booties and polished extras.
J.Crew may already be rolling out their spring stuff already, but I’m inspired by some of their more wintry looks, especially considering I’m still a long way away from packing away my winter wardrobe here in chilly NYC.
